Last Week's Sermon
Men and Women: The Beautiful Difference
This sermon can be found on CCK's website: http://www.cornerstonechurchofknoxville.com/ under "sermons and links." This sermon was so encouraging to me and I hope that anyone that reads this blog will listen to it if you have the time( if not, make the time! : )). It is available for free download using MP3 format to burn to a disc for later listening if you wish.
After hearing this sermon at CCK I was very aware of what society communicates to us about the roles that men and women should play. In my American Lit class we were talking about Puritan women and my professor went on and on about how oppressed and unhappy the Puritan women were. I told him that I respected them because they submitted to their husbands as unto the Lord and that I hoped to be a submissive wife someday. My professor replied by saying that I was naive about the Puritans and how they really were and that there aren't any men out there that want a submissive wife.
Anyway, I found through this sermon comfort in knowing what role God wants me to play in this world for His glory and my satisfaction. I hope anyone reading this will check it out, you will be in for a surprise...

wow, Sarah, let me commend your courage on defending an unpopular biblical principle in the middle of class. Nice job.
